Market Report January 2017

Above is a link for our Bodega Bay Market Report for 12 months ending January 31, 2017.

The numbers are in for sales per office for 2016.  Here is a graph of totals for Coastal Sonoma and Marin:

The median price stayed the same for Bodega Bay at $797,500 12 month rolling average and from $859,000 in Bodega Harbour to $945,000. January saw 4 homes placed in escrow (2 in Bodega Harbour) list price from $649,000 to $1,049,000.  There were no closings during January.  Two lots went into escrow in Bodega Harbour; 1 listed at $499,000 and 1 listed at $289,000. Total listing inventory is 20 homes (10 in Bodega Harbour) up from last year of 16 homes available for sale, total sales for 12 months is 52 homes of which 35 are in Bodega Harbour, this is down from 63/35 homes respectively for the prior 12 months.   We have kept monthly median house prices since 2000 and have market reports going back to 1994.  If you are interested in the historical perspective, please email us and we will send it to you.

  • March 4th : Bodega Volunteer Fire Department Polenta & Beef Stew Dinner, 5pm – 8pm at McCaughey Hall, 17184 Bodega Highway, Bodega, CA 94922. All proceeds benefit the Bodega Volunteer Fire Department. Please call (707) 876-9438 for more information. Tickets sold at the door. Adults $15, Kids $10.
  • March 17th: Sonoma Coast Vineyards Winemaker Dinner, 6:30pm at the Inn at the Tides, 800 Highway One, Bodega Bay, CA 94923. 4-course menu including wine. $99 plus tax and gratuity. Reservations are required. Please call (707) 875-2751.
  • March 18th: Annual Hitchcock Film Festival, at the Bodega Bay Grange Hall, 1370 Bodega Avenue, Bodega Bay, CA 94923. Two movies will be shown:  The Birds and Rear Window.  Two of Hitchcock’s best movies.  The fun begins at 3:30 pm for an introduction by Dan Sneed, Hitchcock Expert Enthusiast, then watch The Birds.  At 7:00, Rear Window will start. Advanced ticket purchases are required for the movie showings.  Movie tickets are $10 per person for general admission or $18 for both shows and children under 12 is $5.
