Dear clients and friends:

Welcome to May on the Sonoma Coast!

Fish Fest was a huge success, had a great turnout and raised lots of money for 25 local non-profits. Laura & Kent volunteered and had a wonderful time. "We highly recommend attending this annual event next year. It was well organized and fun!".

Regarding coastal real estate: There continues to be very few coastal properties coming to the market while many buyers are wanting to buy a coastal property. In South Harbour, a new listing on Oyster Catcher received 6 offers this week and is in contract for over $2,000,000. Up the coast the cute little cottage on Cliff, backing up to Hwy 1, received multiple offers out of the gate for over the asking price of $1,050,000. The Harbour View Subdivision has begun to release a few new homes and are cooperating with Realtors who bring their clients forth.

Below you'll find RED LINKS to coastal real estate, coastal information, local news and events. If you have any questions, no matter how big or small, please don't hesitate to reach out. Feel free to contact us with any questions you may have about real estate or coastal living.

If you want to explore ALL coastal properties currently on the market from Dillon Beach to Sea Ranch, and all in between, click on COASTAL PROPERTY SEARCH.  Note: if an "Active" property is not clickable, it is because it is already in contract.

Harbour Seals and Seal Pups

Seal Pups Jenner

It’s spring, and where the winding freshwater Russian River meets the thumping blue Pacific surf, visitors can stroll across a wide expanse of sand and view a variety of marine wildlife, including a crowd of irresistibly cute round faces and plump torpedo-shaped bodies sunning along the riverbank. From March to June each year, in the Rookery the next generation of seal pups will be born and spend a few weeks nursing in their mothers’ care.

Part of the California State Parks’ mission is to allow the public access to enjoy and experience California’s wildlife. But how close is too close? When it comes to the harbor seal, Ratner says, “If the animal raises its head or acknowledges your presence, you’re too close.”
