As of April 7, 2021, Sonoma County has moved into the less restrictive Orange Tier. Restaurants are open for both indoor and outdoor dining, bars are able to resume outdoor service, and wineries and tasting rooms are allowed to offer both indoor and outdoor service, with limitations. Bodega Marine Reserve

It's hard to imagine now that in the 1960's PG&E tried to build a nuclear plant a Bodega Head. The UC Davis Bodega Marine Laboratory is located near Bodega Head and docents tell the story during tours. Currently public tours are suspended, and while you can't touch purple urchins in model tide pools right now, you can take a virtual tour explaining the scientific endeavors undertaken to better understand and help protect our coastal ecosystems.
