Dear clients and friends:
Welcome to March on the Sonoma Coast!
It's feeling more "back to normal" in Bodega Bay. After having to cancel the wildly popular "Chowder Day" in January, we're welcoming upcoming events like the Fisherman's Festival scheduled for April 30th and May 1st this year.
A few more properties are coming on the market after months of historically low inventory. Buyer demand continues to greatly outpace available properties.
The luxury coastal market remains strong. Our stunning Coastal Estate listing just south of the Village of Mendocino is in contract with an asking price of over $4,000,000.
Below you'll find RED LINKS to coastal real estate, coastal information and local news. If you have any questions, no matter how big or small, please don't hesitate to reach out. Feel free to contact us with any questions you may have about real estate or coastal living.
If you want to explore ALL coastal properties currently on the market from Dillon Beach to Sea Ranch, and all in between, click on COASTAL PROPERTY SEARCH. Note: if an "Active" property is not clickable, it is because it is already in contract.
Here's OUR SOLD COASTAL PROPERTIES.
Sonoma Coast’s Tide Pools an Educational, Biological Bounty
Lucky for us, the Sonoma Coast is loaded with beaches and coves that reveal another world when the tide goes out. Perhaps the best spot: Pinnacle beach. The beach is accessible by the Pinnacle Gulch Coastal Access Trail, a 1-mile trail that leads to a half-mile stretch of beach that is essentially one giant tide pool during the lowest of low tides.
Another epic spot: Salt Point State Park, which has an entire section of rocky shoreline that is exposed during low tides. Other options for local tide pooling include Miwok Beach (which is accessible from North Salmon Creek) Schoolhouse Beach and Shell Beach. What you might find: Ochre, purple and fuchsia sea stars, sea anemones, hermit crabs, sea snails, gooseneck barnacles, and colorful nudibranchs. On a particularly good day, you might spot an octopus, a sea lion or a feeding whale.
Rebranded: The Lodge at Bodega Bay
Woodside Hotel Group, a collection of independent boutique hotels throughout Northern California, announced the rebranding and renaming of Bodega Bay Lodge to The Lodge at Bodega Bay Timed to its 50th anniversary, The Lodge at Bodega Bay was originally purchased in 1972 by the Alden family as a small motor lodge on a beautiful bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean in Sonoma County, marking the creation of Woodside Hotel Group. Since, the Lodge has transformed into an elegant coastal hideaway, featuring 83 guest rooms with stunning ocean views and private balconies, most with wood-burning fireplaces.
