March is upon us again and signs of Spring are here.  Seasons come and go, tides ebb and flow always changing and providing us with nature’s beauty while we go about our busy lives.  We are so fortunate to live here and sometimes forget to take time to notice our surroundings, hear the waves crash, watch the sun rise and set.
We must preface this month’s market report with the fact that we have the lowest housing inventory we have seen since we began tracking the market going back to 1994.  Only 8 homes on the market (3 in Bodega Harbour).  If you own a home on the Sonoma or Marin coast and are thinking of listing your property this year, please contact us.  If you are thinking of buying this year, please contact us.  More than ever, it is important to have a relationship with agents you know and trust.  We are working on some new listings and have several buyers looking for specific needs.  We certainly appreciate your keeping us in mind if you are not a current buyer or seller, but know of friends or family that are.  We would be happy to talk with them about our new marketing programs.  We often take video of other people’s listings for buyers outside the area.

Market Report February 2018

Above is a link for our Bodega Bay Market Report for 12 months ending 28 February 2018.

The median price went up for Bodega Bay from $915,000 to $920,000 for a 12 month rolling average and up from $1,027,000 to $1,030,000 in Bodega Harbour. February saw 7 homes placed in escrow (6 in Bodega Harbour) list price from $749,000 to $1,768,000.  There were 3 closings in February, all 3 in Bodega Harbour) from $911,000 to $1,085,000. Total listing inventory is at 8 homes (3 in Bodega Harbour), total sales for 12 months is 75 homes of which 43 were in Bodega Harbour, up from 52/36 respectively 12 month prior.

  • March 17th: Annual Hitchcock Film Festival, at the Bodega Bay Grange Hall, 1370 Bodega Avenue, Bodega Bay, CA 94923. Two movies will be shown:  The Birdsand Rear Window.  Two of Hitchcock’s best movies.  The fun begins at 3:30 pm for an introduction by Dan Sneed, Hitchcock Expert Enthusiast, then watch The Birds.  At 7:00, Rear Window will start. Advanced ticket purchases are required for the movie showings.  Movie tickets are $10 per person for general admission or $18 for both shows and children under 12 is $5.
